For an absolute pure slice of heaven and a traditional experience you will not forget, simplistic Tanus Beach Fales in Samoa is one place you must check off your bucket list. Located in Manase (pronounced mana-say) on the island of Savaii it is about an hour ride from the main ferry terminal. Manase is undoubtebly the most beautiful beach in the whole of Samoa perfectly situated for viewing of both a sunrise and a sunset on the north coast. Special!

Great little stays - Litia Sini Beach Fales, Samoa
Litia Sini Beach Fales is located on Lalomanu beach on the south east coast of the island of Upolu. By public bus it is anywhere from 2 - 3 hours depending how busy the bus is and costs 5 tala. By taxi it will cost you around 70 tala and take around 45 minutes.
In Lalomanu itself there is about 2 stores which dont sell a heck of a lot except snack foods, as litia in-build breakfast and dinner to their rates it is probably worthwhile stocking up on food in apia before heading out to get you through your days.

Great little stays - Shiralea Backpackers, Thailand
Shiralea Backpackers resort is a small resort located on Haad Yao on the island of Koh Phangan in the gulf of thailand. Shiralea has recently been renovated and taken under new management and is targeted at the young and fabulous backpacker. Offering bungalows at a decent rate you can take advantage of a fantastic beach, great pool and a pumping bar. It also helps that my good friend Richi is co-owner of this fantastic spot. Take a look, take a break and say hello to my mate ;)
