Litia Sini Beach Fales is located on Lalomanu beach on the south east coast of the island of Upolu. By public bus it is anywhere from 2 - 3 hours depending how busy the bus is and costs 5 tala. By taxi it will cost you around 70 tala and take around 45 minutes.
In Lalomanu itself there is about 2 stores which dont sell a heck of a lot except snack foods, as litia in-build breakfast and dinner to their rates it is probably worthwhile stocking up on food in apia before heading out to get you through your days.
Litia have recently rebuilt from the ground up after the 2009 tsunami's wiped them clean so all fales are clean and tidy. They configure to sleep 2,3,4 or 5 pax and all have decks and ocean views and shared bathroom facilities. There is a fantastic surf break in Lalomanu which is very popular to surfers and the beach boasts white sand and clear blue waters. Unfortunately the reef around Lalomanu is dead due to the tsunami but it still makes for an interesting snorkel if only a little sad.
Breakfast and dinner are included in your rate and the food is beautiful and local. Like anywhere when travelling eating local is the only way to go and the quickest way to experience a culture is through your stomach. dont turn your nose up, be brave and try new things and you will be fine.
A place is only as special as its people and this is certainly the case for Litia. Lydia mans the helm at the front desk and is a wealth of information about anything around samoa. The exceptional Lei stands out amongst the floor staff with her brilliant smile and friendly curious nature and the boys of the property Jo and Koka are a couple of smooth dudes that could fulfil any girls island fantasy.
Litia perform a fia fia every friday night also in conjunction with their neighbours, Taunua beach fales who perform theirs on Wednesday night.
It is boasted that Lalomanu is the best beach on Upolu and I would have to agree. It provides everything your chasing for your island getaway: white sand, crystal clear waters, good food, friendly locals so all you have to do is............get there.
